How Do I Transfer Bitdefender To A New Laptop?
Hello,
I'm purchasing a new vista 32 bit laptop and would like to transfer bit defender over from my xp old laptop.
My guess is that I would un-install bitdefender on the old laptop and just re install it on the new laptop and enter the key? Will it matter that I'm switching from an xp operating system to a vista operating system?

No it wouldn't matter. if you have a license for just one computer, you can just uninstall it from one computer and reinstall it on the other.

Ok so all that I have to do is un-install bit defender and re install to the new laptop? Or is there a way to un-install the license?

You Don't Have To Perform Special Steps To Uninstall Your License.Just Install BD In Your New Laptop As You Did With Your Older One.

What if I can't uninstall Bitdefender from the first machine? My laptop died and I want to transfer the license to one of the PCs I have in the house.

Hello AlmostThere,
So long that laptop that have died don't connect with the internet anymore that license key comes available again. I mean you can install the license key on a new computer or laptop but keep in mind that it only will last for the remaining days that are on the computer or laptop where you first have installed BitDefender on. Hope this is clear for you.

Hi everyone
I have bought a new computer.
I am now installing WinXp and am transferring all stuff from my old one to the new one.
However, when I try to install BitDefender it says my license has expired. It hasn't. My license doesn't expire until Sept 2009. What's happening?
Please advise?

Hello l1velife,
You need to check the system time and date (year). During installation did you selected this option: 'I want to register the product with a new key' and have you entered your current license key. If you still have issue please contact customer care. Select customer care.
