Bitdefender Antispam Module Is Disabled
I Have Windows xp Sp3 with Outlook Express.
I Installed BD total Security 2009.
I Have 2 problems:
- Scan Activity bar is not visibled. I checked it but no visibled.
- After reboot I have 1 issues, Bitdefender Antispam module is disable.
I tried fix issue, but nor resolved. When I see the Antispam, it is gray, I can"t checked it.
In Outlook Express I tried check the/ BD / setting, I got the next:
Bitdefender Antispam module is disabled because the Virus Shielfód service is stopped or disabled. Please restart/enable the service and try again.

Press the windows button together with r now type services.msc press enter. Now left click on the BitDefender Virus Shield service and press on start. If that doesn't work left click on BitDefender Communicator service and choose restart.

Sory, but I tried it earlier. Don't work! All services were started!
I see the next Bitdefender services:
Bitdefender Arrakis Server
Bitdefender Desktop Update Service
Bitdefender Threat Scanner
Bitdefender Virus Shield
Antispam setting is still disabled !
And Scan Activity Bar is no visible!

Not only antispyware but antipishing module is disabled too with IE7!
By test Beta version I said that bd 2009 is a ######!
Sorry, but now I say this too!
I used bd for 8 version without problems!

Has this topic been closed? I have the same problems.
Running XP 3, IE 7, OE 6, BD Internet security 2009.
I transferred BD key to a new computer and I was only offered to install 2009 version.
It didn't have Scan Activity Bar but everything else seemed to be OK.
Occasionally, it shows a scan activity still running in BD window, which ended and I finished it in Launch bar. I could not stop it manually. Sometimes I could not get updates, also.
Right now, activity bar is back, I don't have Antipishing in IE 7.
Antispam in Outlook Express is unavailable because Virus shield is stopped. Update is back after restart.
I used to have BD IS 2008 on my old computer. It worked fine and I wonder if I could get it back. Niels?0 -
Topic isn't closed, but Bitdefender Support Team can't say nothing rational reply!
Only remove, reinstall, etc. And the antispam and antipishing moduls don't work!

I got the same problem among others!! Antispam toolbar comes and goes. Mostly goes. Did the repair 3 times to no avail and after each repair I had to run the system scan. What a PITA. No answer to my email and so much for live chat. Always seems to be "off line". Think Im going back to CA. Never any problems with it. Cant change the system scan times from 2am (my computer is always shut down at that time). Wasted $60.00.

Finally got thru to live chat. What a waste. Rmailed me a set of instructions that would require Einstein to figure them out. Still cant get the antispam toolbar to come up. Everything is running and if by a miracle the toolbar comes up, when I click on the settings this is what I get. I guess its back to CA0 -
I have no correct answers or solution from BT support/Team with so many problems like all of you had encountered. The BTS 2009' quality and support is no better than 2008!!! Will BT wake up and help us?

Before attacking me I am only a normal user just as you.
Please do this: press the windows button together with r now type services.msc press enter. See if the terminal services is running and startup type is set on automatic. If that isn't the case please right click on it choose properties and by startup type select automatic press on apply and ok.

I said to see if the terminal services was started. The screenshot that you posted contains only the BitDefender services. What I posted before was before BitDefender 2009 was available in previous versions of BitDefender you could restart the BitDefender services but that is impossible now.
So far that I can see the BitDefender services are running on your computer. The Arraksis service should only be running if you have enabled home management. Try to use a registry cleaner. You can use ccleaner. Don't forget to uncheck yahoo toolbar during installation. Use the registry cleaner and make a back-up and let it repair everything.
Do you have other security software installed?

1. I removed all other security programs earlier!
Notice: On another PC have I've no BD 2009 problems with SuperAntispyware and PopUp blocker
2. I used more registry cleaner, CCleaner, Registry Mechanic, Tweaknow, BDTS 11 and etc.
No resolved problems!
Even, I tried delete all other BD references manually with regedit!
I used BD 2009 removal tools etc...
3. I not use Yahoo toolbar!

What was your previously installed antivirus or security suite? Or did you used BitDefender all the time? If not please check this topic.
If you are using a 64 bit version of windows. Then this is the correct uninstall tool.
Did you already tried to create a new user account and install BitDefender from there?
What e-mail client are you using?

My OS is Vista Ultimate 32bit. The BTS icon at taskbar always turns grey when you go to any P2P website, e.g. http://www.easymule.com. After I run services.msc, I have to fix both the "Anti-spam is Disable" and "Antiphishing Protection Status is Unavailable", then the taskbar on will turns RED from GREY. But still the "BTS 2009's Bitdefender Antispam module is unavailable" and it cannot be "Check or Tick" in the square box. to resolve these problems? Why it happened many times?

Only 6 month is needed to correct antispam and antipishing issues!
And was this no beta version!
These issues founded in beta version too!
And this is not cost free but payment software!
And I don't understand why cracks one the softwares!0
