Bd Antivirus 2008 Update Problem
Hello,
two days ago i help friends install with BD antivirus 2008. two of them doesn't have any problem but the other one had a problem with the update. This is what happen
BD antivirus 2008
No Problem : 
1. Vista home Basic
2. Vista home premium
Problem 
2. Using XP 32 bit system.
the thing is when the BD try to update, the same "TimeOut IO" error message, please contact with BD service provider.
I have install and uninstall the BD product more than 5 times and the same message still appear. My friend say i cheat him on his money because i cannot help him so solve this problem. I didn't charge him anything but he's insist i bought him with a faulty products. Can you help me with this problem? Thank You

I get the same IO error when trying to download updates to BD AV 2008. The above link provides no relief as the standard BD has no firewall.
I have a Gateway laptop with Vista Premium 64 bit.

I also have the same problem I am working with vista home premium 64 bits to. I hope the can fix it

i don't if this has any bearing on this update problem,but i have a dual boot pc, with vista hpx64 sp1 and xp sp2 x32 o/s, for vista i use bdts2008 x64 and for xp bdis x32 the xpsp2 av updates without a problem,but the vista sp1x64 does not,my guess is that a Microsoft update on sp3 sp1 systems is the cause and bd tech are lagging behind as a number of other av sware has had similar probs in the recent past, bd official line is that the servers are out of sync,ans they are goin to increase the scan speed???

update, i know someone who is running BDTS2008 on xpmedia centre sp2 without any probs with updates so i must be down to a security update from Microsoft (sp3 xp, and sp1 vista) that bifdefender ain't fixed yet why the lies??? updating the servers
