[solved]bitdefender 2009 Offline Update.
Is there any way to download update files so that I can update Bitdefender 2009 offline.
It is useful if when OS crashes. I can use backup. But I dont want to do that cause I'll
have to back up unneccessary files then.

Newbie using BD TS 2009 on dial-up. (Last one on earth? Broadband has been promised monthly for two years, but it's a small street in a small town.) Couldn't find a place on the BD site to download updates, and also don't know where to put them anyway.
I did manage to get the 50+ MB initial update last night, with a few interruptions. Today ran both auto and manual updates repeatedly, but they apparently don't "take" even when the "Finish" button comes up. There's no change in the "last update" date or number of viruses listed.
I don't know what to do differently, and would appreciate help. Also, I gather from an earlier post that I could be using dTa in Firefox to improve updates. Again, could someone please guide me in this? I didn't find this in the archives, but if I missed it, a thread reference would be appreciated.
Thanks very much for any assistance.

I'm talking about BD 2009
Please look at the link under Bitdefender 2009 update. Its exactly same as Bitdefender 2008 update.
I went to this page : http://www.bitdefender.com/site/view/Deskt...ts-Updates.html
And saw that the following products have same link to weekly.exe
BitDefender Total Security 2009
BitDefender Internet Security 2009
BitDefender Antivirus 2009
BitDefender Total Security 2008
BitDefender Internet Security 2008
BitDefender Antivirus 2008
http://download.bitdefender.com/updates/bi.../x86/weekly.exe [for 32bit]
http://download.bitdefender.com/updates/bi.../x64/weekly.exe [for 64bit]
Cannot find offline updates for BD 2009.0 -

Please update with the same files as 2008. These are fully compatible with the 2009 edition.
Just make sure you download the right files. (Antivirus, Internet Security, Total Security)
You can only use DownThemAll! if you are downloading from http://www.bitdefender.com/site/view/Deskt...ts-Updates.html0
