[open]can't Reinstall Bitdefender Internet Security

Options

After the update and reboot a few days ago my computer was completely messed up. Finally got it up and running again, for the time being.

After a live assistance sessions I used the uninstall tool, then went to reinstall internet security 2009. Can't do it. Stuck no antivirus or firewall for days. What do I do besides cancel subscription? <img class=" />

I used that and CCleaner. Still not able to reinstall.

Keep getting this in the message bow of the unistall tool.

    unistalling Bitdefender 2009

    delete remaining registry values. failed

  • have you tried going to the Windows registry and searching for any bitdefender keys? you should search for any key which has Bitdefender, bd, internet security, or any words related to bd and their processes.

  • When I run the uninstall tool I noticed that is says:

    delete main registry keys. FAILED

Everything else it says not found, since it has been successfully deleted. Anyone know what these main registry keys are called. May help finding them easier if I know their names

  • Just about time to move on to another antivirus. Should be interesting to see how difficult it is to get a refund. ###### because it seems to be working decent on my other 2 computers.

    Hi Duff138

Just a concern. Did you check for any spyware software. As per you desktop screen there are some spyware software which for some reason is blocking the BD installation. Moreover it says BD is already installed on yr system . If i was you , i would fisrt back up my data . Format the system and install all over again. Know its a bit of a trouble but its best to keep your machine in good shape atimes.
