My Bd Is 2008 Cannot Update

Hi there


I cant update my version of bitdefender(internet security 2008). the update settings seem to be grayed out. i also tryed updating manually and also had no joy. i am running windows xp 64bit.


please help!!


i want updates!!!

    try to repair the bd installation, first of all.

    G'Day morron,


    You should be using BDIS 2009 not 2008. If you own this (have purchased) BDIS v2008 and have a key for it, just un-install the 2008, then download the BDIS 2009 for your OS platform - re-boot after the un-install, then install the 2009 version and use the same Key and register it with the same user account (email address and password)


    If you have a problem uninstalling 2008 or installing the 2009, more than likely you will need to run the BitDefender Uninstall tool Instructions - Download

    Try install BD IS 2009 from http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...ty_2009_32b.exe for SO 32bits or


    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...ty_2009_64b.exe


    and uses the same serial key
