Sometimes when I start my computer I get a Explorer error and it has to shut down?
It has sockspy.dll in its description and all my searching says it is a bitdefender file

Hi!
Indeed it is a BitDefender file. When you succeed on BOOT'ing windows , please try either to make an update to BD, either try to repair the current installation by placing the CD in your optical drive and choosing "Repair". If none removes the problem, you can try to reinstall BD.

Hi
Try what is suggested in this topic : http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=420
You can rename sockspy.dll but that will disable the firewall.

I just got a response back from BitDefender email help and they said to do this
"Dear ***** *******,
Thank you for your interest in our BitDefender security solution.
To overcome this error, go to the following folder:
C:\Windows\system32\ and rename the file sockspy.dll to sockspy.dl_ then
restart the computer.

I do not know if it works yet but something to try?0 -
"... rename the file sockspy.dll to sockspy.dl_ then restart the computer."
Doesn't this disable some BitDefender features? Why would I pay for something and then disable it to make it work?0
