Connectivity
I am using bitdefender internet security 2009. I am using vista ultimate. The trouble that I am having is using my gmail account. When trying to open, delete, or try to do anything whithin gmail, it takes forever??.. my internet connection is good, and had no problems in the past, only since installing bitdefender??, is there someway I can make gmail faster to respond in bitdefender??

Hi there,
I would like you to try the following:
1. Open BitDefender in Advanced View.
2. Go to Antivirus->Shield.
3. Click on Custom Level.
4. Disable scanning of HTTP, Yahoo and MSN traffic.
5. Restart your browser and check if the issue still occurs.
If this does not work, please try this:
1. Open the browser.
2. Go to Tools->Manage Add-ons->Disable or Enable Add-ons.
3. Click the BitDefender toolbar and set it to Disabled.
4. Click OK and restart the browser.
5. Check if the issue still occurs.
Please let me know if this worked.
Thanks,

Thanks Fiona,
Well I tried the first option, but that did not make any difference??, I tried the second option, by disabling the toolbar, that worked. But, having the toolbar enabled makes me feel safer, so I enabled it again. The problem is only with gmail??, I tried loading gmail in basic view, it was a little better, maybe I should not worry about it, and just bear it??, well thanks for your time, and thanks for your help.

Hi there,
If the issue is indeed caused by the Antiphishing toolbar then it will be fixed in the next major product update scheduled for the end of March. Unfortunately you will need to bear with it for a couple of weeks.
Thanks,
