If you chose the COMPLETE option during installation, you're OK because BD 10 Free has on-access, and B-HAVE anti-malware enabled for Win 9x/ME ONLY!. If you DID NOT choose the COMPLETE install option, re-install it and during the setup, choose the COMPLETE option. Then. you may want to get Spybot or a firewall. " />
But you really don't need those diabled modules; the BD 10 Free is VERY GOOD!

PS You'll need to disable it before defragging, because you can't adjust many settings. Just make sure that in the status part of the BD console that you have the slider dragged all the way to the top so that it says that basic protection is enabled.0 -
I already have Spybot and a firewall program install on the computer. Also why does do auto updates everytime I open my computer?

BTW You may want to get WinPatrol for for your PC. It's free from Majorgeeks or www.winpatrol.com
DON'T DISABLE AOTOMATIC UPDATES! DIABLING ATOMATIC UPDATES ALSO DISABLES BASIC PROTECTION! Set it to update every 72 hours in the updates settimgs.

Those other modules shall remain diabled, and you'll get only the on-access and B-HAVE protection with the free version. To enable everything, you have to buy a license.
If that really is a worm and not a false positive, then you can probably remove it by scanning your PC in the safe mode. But you need to submit that worm file to BitDefender. They can tell you whether it is a false positive

Thanks for your help. I don't think I will use bitdefender. Its kind of confusing to me. The worm is on the bitdefender it erased the mIRC desktop. I used to have AVG and it fixed the worm and trojans. Now AVG doesn't support windows 98. I really liked AVG. Oh well thanks anyways.
