Vsserv.exe Massive I/o Writes

I noticed that Bit Defender (vsserv.exe) is doing an enormous amount of writing. Task manager shows 620GB "I/O write bytes" at the moment, far more than anything else. I can understand it doing a lot of reading, since I do daily scans, but I don't understand the writes.


I see about twice as many bytes read as written and 5 times as many read I/Os as write I/Os
