What Exactly Is A Overcompressed File?

My first thought would be a big zip file for example (over a couple of hundred megabytes)

But that's not the case since many of my Nintendo 8-bit emulator games are overcompressed. And they're only a few hundred KB <img class=" />

    AA...:

My guess is this "overcompressed" simply means that BD couldn't figure out how to decompress it, so then to be able to scan it.

Overcompressed refers to the large quantity of data and resource usage that would be required should the the package be scanned inside. If the archive is too large, it is skipped for performance reasons. Generally, files declared overcompressed cannot be ran directly by a program and as such do not pose a threat. Once extracted they will be scanned by the realtime scanner.
