Bitdefender Total Security 2009 Blocks Internet Connection

i installed BTS 2009 but im unable to connect to internet . it connects but immediately disconnects. i uninstallded and tried it connected nice.but i need to connect internet and have bitdefender in it...............plz help me ................... :ph34r::ph34r:

    We will need the following information:


    - type of Internet connection that you have (broadband/dial-up, cabled/wi-fi);


    - name of the OS on which you are running BitDefender;


    - name of any other security solutions you are running(or previously had) on the system.

    I use broadband dsl 256kbps , router : ut starcom UT300RTU , network card : realtek RTL 8168 (8111 family), OS :MS windows vista ultimate SP1 , before i had used dial up connection 56kbps .


    ISP: BSNL broadband


    security app used before : AVAST pro 4.8

    In BitDefender please go to Advanced View - Firewall - Network - set the local network to "Trusted local", Stealth to "No" and Generic to "Yes". Then go to the Settings tab and click on "Advanced Settings", uncheck "Block port scans" and "Intrusion detection system IDS" and check "Enable Internet Connection Sharing".


    Please let me know what results you have after changing these settings.

  • I have the same problem with Internet Security 2009. Connects quikly i lost connection. Already sure Windows Firewall off...


    I have WiFi at home


    OS Vista SP2


    Before had ESET trial
