Unable To Install Bit Defender Total Security 2009

When i install Bit Defender Total Security i keep getting a error saying " Installation package could not be opened. ect" i did the online scan then tried to reinstall but still no luck.

- are there any other security solutions on the same PC, besides BitDefender?

- what type of Internet connection are you using ;

I have Windows XP Media Center Edition

I have no other Anti Viruses on my pc

I have Opt Online for internet and its wired

Please try installing the latest version of Windows Installer. In order to do that please follow this link:

You will be directed to the Microsoft web page. From there ,under "Files in This Download" please choose "WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe" and select Download. Save the file on your computer and run it after that.

After you perform this action, save the BitDefender installation kit from the next link:http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...ty_2009_32b.exe

then run it in order to install BitDefender.Please let us know what happened.
