Hello MLK ,
If you are using Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or 3 , or Windows Vista we recommend you to upgrade for free to BitDefender Antivirus 2009 following the steps from the next BitDefender article:http://kb.bitdefender.com/KB450-en--Upgrad...virus-2009.html .

Hello Dave ,
Please let us know what BitDefender and Windows system you are using . Usually , the message that you received , is displayed when you have the latest BitDefender updates installed . In order to check this , please tell us the Engine Version and the Virus Signatures that you can find in the Update section of your program .

I ran a manual update for BD Version10(retail) this evening, and did get updates.
I had the same problem as all of you since this morning, but it appears the problem has been fixed.

It's working off and on. The servers seem to be flaking out -- probably overloaded. It lends itself to "the thrill" of being a BD user! " />
Sysyems are 9x/ME 2000 and XP Pro0 -
The inconsistent updates are causing some serious system errors in Maxthon, Opera, and even IE. Several mshtml errors with BD AS enabled. This is on 2000 and XP.
Strange!

Last December I upgraded to Bitdefender 2009 when I purchased a new license key. I had nothing but problems with it. My computer was locking up and my dvd drive could not be recognized(among other things). I dealt with tech support for about 2 weeks trying to get it to work. They had me un-install all kind of programs on my computer because they might conflict with Bitdefender 2009(even though they worked fine with Bitdefender V10. I finally gave up on Bitdefender 2009 and went back to Bitdefender V10. I should have read the reviews on Bitdefender 2009 before I installed it. I have already told tech support that I am not going to re-live that nightmare again! Installing Bitdefender 2009 is NOT an option!0 -

Hello MLK ,
For start , please follow the next link and download the patch that I have uploaded : http://www.sendspace.com/file/29waig . Run it and when the process is completed a "Done" message will be displayed(the tool will update and clear the issue - internet connection required- note that the process can take a long time) .
After you run the patch please restart your computer then repair BitDefender following the steps bellow :
1. Click on Start from Windows and choose Control Panel .
2. Open Add or Remove Programs then look after BitDefender Antivirus v10 .
3. Select it then click on Change . Hit Next when the new window will appear then select Repair . Click one more time on Repair when the new window will show up .
4. Wait until the process is over then reboot your computer when you will be asked . After your computer starts up a new BitDefender window will come up . Please click on Install and then wait until this process is finished .
5. Click on Finnish then reboot your computer .
Let us know if everything is working on now .
Thank you .0
