Bd 2008 Missing Files Or Corrupted

Here is a log from rsit tool. I got help from spywarehammer techs and i am being told that my bitdefender is either missing files or my install is corrupt. Can someone please look over my log and tell me whats missing or corrupt and then advise as to how to fix the problem. somehow my msconfig was pretty much wiped clean of startup programs. How? I have no idea but i cannot get BD to start when i start my computer. I have to turn it on manually once im started up. And everytime i start it up, the identity control always needs fixed. I click to fix it and it does so until the next time i restart my computer then I have to fix it all over again. I would appreciate some advice and/or help please.

Hi, Sorry it took so long to get back to this topic but i had a family emergency and have been offline.

I tried as you suggested, with the repair process. It started to do the repair and then came up with an error code 2755 and couldnt finish. As far as the rest of your suggestions.....my question is, is the antivirus 2008 the same as the 2008 gamesafe edition??

I will wait for a reply before proceeding. ty

    Thank you .

  • UPDATE..

Now when i restart my puter, bd gamesafe 2008 will not start up at start up. I have to manually open it and manually start it up. Also the parental controls is always disabled so I fix it and close bd and all is good until i restart again.

I searched all settings and as far as I can see, the option for bd to start up with windows is checked and so i cannot figure out why it does not work. SIGH! it seems like its never ending. fix one issue only to end up with a new one right after.... :(

  • Thank you Alex! I am getting ready to do the steps above to reinstall bd. I will be back after to let you know the outcome. Thanks so much for your help so far... :)

  • Hi Alex, I uninstalled and reinstalled after uninstalling spybot as requested and so far so good! YAY! lol Thanks so much, your help has reestablished my faith in this product. Lets hope it keeps me safer than it has in the past. Thank you once again..... :)
