    o bre, i just wanna say to all of you that can not remove a virus, then just rightclick to bitdefender trayicon disable the antivirus and doubleclick on the file and click scan with bitdefender or just move the file to Quarantine and sent it to Bitdefender or delete the file.

    All people complain this virus this trojan cant be deleted by Bitdefender then just do this ok, disable antivirus and rightclick the file scan or delete it manualy or move to Quarantine, to all you out there.

    I'ts the simpliest way to do it.

  • well when i right click there is no option to disable it. also there is no action possible when i scan and the location of this infection is

    \\?\globalroot\systemroot\system32\gxvxcokrdhavgavimgqyuhypsqttmmudjkdil.dll and when i type this in my box it isnt there.

    Hello SneakyDane ,

    For start please try the steps bellow :

    1. Disable the BitDefender real-time protection and/or any other active security solution(s) that you are using;

    2. Save and extract the AVIS tool to a location of your choice:

    RECOMMENDED: http://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/AVIS.zip

    3. Make sure you close all active applications and run "AVIS.exe";

    4. Select the "Update" module from the left; Click on the "Update now" button and allow the process a few moments to download and apply the changes; The tool might reload;

    5. Select the "Clean" module from the left; Check that the "Choose action to take" is set to "Force file delete (requires restart)";

    6. Click on the "Add file" button , under "Files of type" choose "All files" , then browse to the next location :

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ , look after the file called "gxvxcokrdhavgavimgqyuhypsqttmmudjkdil.dll" and then choose Open .

    7. Check that all items mentioned above are added to the list and then click the "Start clean" button and confirm the restart.

    If were not able to find this file , please follow the steps from the next BitDefender article :http://kb.bitdefender.com/KB490 , run the mentioned tools , go the the next link :http://www.sendspace.com/ and upload the reports . After that post here the download links. Also , please post a download link with the latest Deep System Scan report that you have performed with BitDefender .

    Sorry for asking Novice questions but how do you disable Bitdefender? I ahve looked through every setting option and just dont see how. Oh and Vexil thanks for the direction to this post but if you could just not talk/type that would be great thanks.

  • Robert, you disable "Real-time protection" in the Antivirus Advanced Menu (for BD 2009) or Expert Menu (for BD 2010) in the Shield tab. There is a "Real-time protection" checkbox there. Just uncheck it and you have BD disabled.

  • Also what is the correct action to take on over compressed files? I have followed the file address and it is part of a program I down loaded to burn DVD's and CD's and does nothing, Should I just leave it or try and fix it?
