    Hello hemanth,

As long as the BitDefender BDAgent registry entry is deleted from the registry location that we told you, the BitDefender icon should not be displayed anymore on System Tray. In order to further investigate this sittuation please follow the steps bellow :

    1. Click on Start from Windows and choose Run.

    2. Type regedit then click on Ok.

    3. The Registry Editor window should be displayed. Please go to the next location : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ right click on the registry entry called Run and choose Export.

    4. Save it in a handy location, upload it on http://www.sendspace.com/ then send me a PM with the download link.

    Thank you .

  • Hi Alex,

    Hello hemanth,

It seems that BDAgent was still showing up as an entry in the "Run" registry key. Please follow the next link:http://www.sendspace.com/file/ec7e6g and download the modified version. Start your computer in Safe Mode after that, run the "bd.reg" file and choose Yes, when you will be asked if you want to add the new information to registry. Reboot your computer in Normal Mode and BitDefender should not be loaded at startup.

    Thank you.

  • Hi Alex,

BDAgent is not in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. But still the BD icon loads up on system restart.
