Windows 7 Action Center Problem
Hi forum,
I recently installed windows 7 and upgraded to Bitdefender 2010 Internet Security. Everything seems to be working fine except that in the security center/action center, it says "bitdefender antivirus reports that it is out of date." What should I do? I have updated btd and i have no outstanding issues with the security status. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Hello MedicineMan,
Please open BitDefender in Expert Mode and click on the Update module. Please let us know what Virus Signatures and Engine Version do you have. Also, we would like you take a screen of the Windows Security Center window, upload it on http://www.sendspace.com/ then post here the download link .
Thank you.0 -
I have just upgraded to Windows 7 and I although I have had some problems with BD2010 TS on Vista I thought it would be best to have a go with it on my new Win7 installation.
I am happy that it loaded fine and appears to be working fine albeit I have had a few unexpected "Fatal Error" issues where BD needs to be restarted to get it running again.
The main issue I have is that Windows does not seem to be able to recognise that BD is acting as AV and Firewall and keeps reporting a major security problem, the only thing I could do was disable the security reporting module.
I also use System Mechanic on this machine and again when it runs a scan it throws up a major security warning telling you that you have no AV or firewall installed, presumably both Windows and Sys Machanic get the info from the same location.
This issue does not appear to be stopping BitDefender from working but it is anoying on a new build where you always endeavor to get thinhs right.
Anyone else had this problem and if so have you managed to find a fix for it?

Hello murray_s,
For start please take a screen-shot of the Action Center (Windows Security Center) window, upload it on http://www.sendspace.com/ then post here the download link . After that, we would like you to follow the instructions bellow in order to obtain a log that we need to look on. Here is what you have to do :
1. Go to Start->Run
2. Type cmd and hit Enter.
3. Type
cd %programfiles%/bitdefender/bitdefender 2010
and hit Enter
4. Type
supporttool.exe /vsservtrace on
and hit Enter
5. A popup should appear asking you to reboot the PC. Reboot the PC.
6. Open BitDefender and update it.
7. Go to the next location, C:\ProgramData\BitDefender\DTrace\ and look after a file called "vsserv.log". Upload it and send us the download link as well.
We are looking forward to your reply.
Thank you .0
