Sorry for the late reply. I was out of town for a few days.
If the threat is known, or if the threat is detected by the heuristic engine or behavioral scanning, then any malicious software that makes such changes (registry changes to system options) should be detected and removed. After removing the threats, the options can be changed manually from Folder Options or from regedit.
BitDefender cannot undo such registry changes, because it has no way of knowing if the changes are legit or not. The user might have changed those settings by choice, so there is no need to revert them.
