    Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?


    Technical support? And I sent them a question, and here almost 24 hours no response.

    Hello Skokospa,


    witch version of Windows are you using. Please check also the version of Windows Installer:


    start >>>execute>>>msiexec and denn klick enter.


    If the version of the Windows Installer is lower than Version 4. Please update it from Microsoft Website.


    After the updates of Microsoft Windows are done, try to install BitDefender again.


    But the correct way to proccede is to use the Uninstall Tool from BitDefender www.bitdefender.com/uninstall


    before you install the software. ( you will need to restart the computer after using the uninstall tool ).

    Hello skokospa,


    Please go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs. In the list that will be displayed, you should have a couple of 'Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable' entries. Please select each one and uninstall them. Then restart the computer. You don't have to worry because you will be asked to install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable again during the BitDefender installation .


    Now, please use our uninstall tool in order to uninstall/delete any previous BitDefender related files:

    Access the link and when the window with the BitDefender file appears, please choose the "Save to disk" option. Save the tool on the PC, run it, restart the computer.


    Install BitDefender using the latest installation kit available for download. Please note that you need to download (save) the installation kit prior to running it.


    The BitDefender Total Security 2010 installation kit can be downloaded from one of the 2 locations:


    - 32 bit compatible version (most commonly used version):

    - 64 bit compatible version:

    During the setup process you will be prompted for your license key. Please use the license key received when you purchased to register BitDefender.
