Gamer Mode Does Not Work

Ok so im running windows 7 64-bit and BitDefender internet security 2010. To be honest this product is full of problems it crashes constantly and sometimes it turns off completely without any warning and it wont turn on unless i restart my computer. But what really annoys me is the Game mode it simply does not work and once you turn it on you cannot turn it off. right now it is telling me that i need to update the product but the update fails because it says game mode is on but when i check it says Usage Profile : Typical i dont know what to do anymore Im about to uninstall this and go find something else its a shame really as 2009 worked great.
