Bitdefender Has Not Updated Since December 2009

I have been unable to update my copy of BitDefender Total Security since December 2009, I keep recieving the following error; 'An error occured during update (unknown error). If the problem persists, please check our online support website at www.bitdefender.com/help for more information.'


After this BitDefender becomes unresponsive and I recieve the following error; BitDefender Services are not responding. The BitDefender Security Service (vsserv.exe) is unavailable at the moment....


I have tried using the repair and remove function but recieve the same error after I re-install BitDefender, I cannot find an answer for this in the BitDefender forums, please advise!

    Regarding your issue, please let us know if you purchased BitDefender 2009 or 2010, what operating system you are using and if it's working on 32 or 64 bits.


    Also, please inform us if you removed the previous antivirus solution.
