Can't Install
When running the downloaded file <bitdefender_internetsecurity_2010_32b> on Win 7, I get a message about a corrupted .cab file <uiscan.cab>
I have searched solutions but cannot find anything. Any help available on this please?
Thanks

Hello pedrocalus,

File size is 141,860 KB
I have also discovered that other AV products will not install. I had originally tried to install BitDefender because another product would not update its definitions. I uninstalled it before trying BD. I have rolled back using system restore (Win 7) and uninstalled other AV product again and downloaded BD again - but the same problem occurs.0 -
I now have a laptop that will not install ANY downloaded file. Have tried Windows Defender, Vipre (excuse mentioning that here!) and BD AV 2010.
Any thoughts about this being a virus (seems like a good strategy for one) or just a damaged OS file?0 -
Use this link to install BitDefender and see exactly if the problem persists.
http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...si2010/bdis.msi
Also, you should run an online scan to make sure the system is clean:

PS: you must use Internet Explorer to perform the scan.0 -

The download of the file fails. The online scan also fails to download virus definitions, so the scan won't run (using IE). There is plenty of disk space. Even after a re-install of Windows the problem is the same. This does appear to be something mailicious?
