Hello Alex Stanciu,
I am using BitDefender Antivirus 2008 and XP home SP3.
vsserv.exe uses so much place in my cpu (more than 70%).
Could you please inform me if there is a way to fix it?
P/s: after fix it, does it mean the traffic flow are un-control by BitDefender and my PC will attack by virus or spyware?
thanks a lot!

Hello ggkktt,
Be kindly informed that your BitDefender license key is also compatible with the 2010 version and we recommend you to install it. Before installing the 2010 version please uninstall any other security solution present on your PC. Usually when you use more than one security solutions on the same computer, the system may become unstable. This happens because all security solutions try to scan a file whenever one is accessed but they cannot do it at the same time, so this causes either slowdowns or crashes.
1. Please use our uninstall tool in order to uninstall/delete any previous BitDefender related files:
http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall
Access the link and when the window with the BitDefender file appears, please choose the "Save to disk" option. Save the tool on the PC, run it, restart the computer.
2. Install BitDefender using the latest installation kit available for download. Please note that you need to download (save) the installation kit prior to running it.
The BitDefender Antivirus 2010 installation kit can be downloaded from one of the 2 locations:
- 32 bit Vista/XP/Windows 7 compatible version (most commonly used version):
http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...us_2010_32b.exe
- 64 bit Vista/XP/Windows 7 compatible version:
http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...us_2010_64b.exe
The installation guide is available here:
http://kb.bitdefender.com/KB576
In order to be sure that the viruses will not attack your PC during the uninstall/install process you can start by saving one of the above installation kits, and after this you can run the uninstall tool. After you reboot the PC please use the installation kit saved on your PC.
