[duplicate]Bitdefender 2010 Will Not Activate

I have just installed BD 2010 total security but it does not allow me to activate it.

I get the following message:

Bitdefender failed because bitdefender could not connect to the bitdefender servers. You can activate the product at any time by clicking on "Activate product" button in the registration module from the expert mode.

Here is what the situation is:

- I have a laptop running Vista 64-bit.

- My windows firewall is off

- As suggested by a tech support rep from another post, I tried turning off the BD firewall and then clicking on activate

I also put the network configuration like this:

Trust level: trusted local

Stealth mode: remote

Generic profile: yes

Still nothing is working.... please help!!!
