We are keeping this thread as the main one. What is being reported 'now' in this thread seems identical to anecdotal reports that resulted in last years (starting October 2023) lengthy thread. And yet the last post in that one @Alexandru_BD wrote since this is an older thread unrelated to the current issue. Is the…

As mentioned earlier in this thread it had been resolved but UNusually it has reappeared in the last couple of weeks.
-
It had been "fixed" but has arisen again.
-
Me too StevenWR (almost a year after I first encountered this same issue :(. )
-
The product teams are currently investigating this behaviour and should come up with a resolution soon. I have experienced this issue on-going for a few years now and it continues to this day with a Pixel 5 cell phone. I dont come to these forums often so I am just hoping there is something I can do (a series of steps) to…

Yes. Once I select "Start Scan", the notification disappears (until the next day).

Hello Alexandru_BD. I did install 3.3.222.2346 yesterday and so I was surprised to see what appears to be the same issue existing this morning :(
-
And this behaviour still exists with most recent version 3.3.221.2343 that updated for me yesterday.
-
AN email from BD a couple of days ago: "...I have looked into the case and it seems that the situation is caused by an issue that has already been acknowledged by our development team. We are currently working on a fix that will be done by means of an automatic update and won't require any additional action on your end."
-
I have the same issue. (It does seem related to the Android 14 update as all was good prior, with BD app version 3.3.217.2325 but still with the most recent update (3.3.217.2329) (post Android 14) the ERROR still occurs...daily.) I did reach out to support a few days go via chat. Last night I was told, via email to remove…

Secondly if you are sure these are false positives, send them to BitDefender, they will investigate the file and if it is not a virus they will flag them as beeing clean. The next time you then update your virus definitions the files will no longer be detected as infected. It is almost a month later and still these same…

Hi Everyone, I just installed BD anti virus 2008. When I later attempted to back up my computer, with Acronis True Image 10, I experienced my first back up failure. Funny you mention this. Just last night I imaged my HD for the first time using ever. I decided to 'tryout' True Image 10. I was doing this in anticipation of…

I meant that the offer to buy the newest BitDefender 2008 version cheaper is only until 23rd September 2007. What will be the price after that day?
-
Here you can see how much it will cost: http://www.bitdefender.com/PRODUCT-2194-en...virus-2008.html So this offer is no longer valid? Maybe one could sneak in a dload of BD 2008 for the v10 promo? http://www.digitalriver.com/v2.0-img/opera...0avp10is10.html
-
Until 23rd September 2007 you will get a time offer. Hi Niels. You mean I can use the trial version of v10 till that date and then I must migrate to 2008?
-
Hello CDR Yes you can. BitDefender 2008 productline isn't yet available for all languages versions so the 10 th product line is still supported. Regards Niels I was/am just about to purchase BD av10 as I have been using the trial version. And until very recently I recall seeing a very good deal re BD av10..something like…

So you don't see how many files that are being scanned? But it depends also what kind of scan you have done. Quick scan doesn't scan on spyware so that could clarify why spyware is greyed out. Here is a screen shot of a full scan. Middle section is greyed out for antispyware porgression. And there isnt one scan I have seen…
-
I notice when there is any BD scan that the Spyware statistics are greyed out. ("Results" and "Time" are black) And I have yet to see "Spyware threats detected" to be anything but zero. This doesnt seem likely.

BitDefender just says that these macro's are suspecious. This doesn't mean that they are malicious. I suggest that you make a topic in the malware section and archive the follow files: FXEquation.dot,FXEquation97.dot in a password protected archive with the follow password: infected. Just an update: I did send the…

Hello 21Rouge BitDefender realtime part will react when you are trying to open an infected attachment. But you will not see BitDefender scanning your mail because it doesn't support ssl. Regards Niels Ok. That seems good enough; still protected.
-
What nsr said is right BitDefender can't scan ssl mail. But BD will do its stuff once our pop3 email has been downloaded?
-
SSL traffic can't be scanned. I am definitely a novice with this stuff. Is it a problem that BD cant scan my family's POP3 ISP's SSL email? Or will it do the job once one opens an infected attachment?
-
Can you please post the scanreport of the latest scan. To do so go to general, events, use the filter for anti-virus, doubelclick on your last scanreport press on more info. Regards Niels Although I had cleared the log I see that the scan report is still available in c:\documents and settings\allusers\application…

Hello 21Rouge To exclude a folder during an on demand open BitDefender go to antivirus, scanning, rightclick on the scan you wanted to execute choose change scanpath press on add new folder and browse to the folder you don't wanted to be scanned. I appreciate the quick reply Niels. I should have looked just a bit more on…

Hi, You can put them in your exclusion list to not scan the parent folder or the actual file. Thanks for the reply. Where in BD does one establish an "Exclusion List"? Secondly if you are sure these are false positives, send them to BitDefender, they will investigate the file and if it is not a virus they will flag them as…
