Back in October I commented on this problem, but for me it's one of those things that just niggles and I keep coming back to find a solution. I use Firefox on Win 10 on a desktop PC & laptop PC. All are up to date. Firefox is set to delete ALL cookies on exit. I can set the Inactivity lock to 4 hours on my Desktop and the…

Do a search for pros and cons of using incognito mode in chrome. Yes you might be "hidden" from some websites you visit who have there own trackers, but I think you will find you are exposed to all the google sites 😊 It may delete your browsing data locally so your mother/father/brother/sister/wife/husband cant see it but…

OK I have finally run out of patience for this to be fixed. I use Firefox. The version number doesn't seem to matter The behavior I want is for Password Manager to logout/lock after a selected period of inactivity. The first time I login for the day I expect to have to login using either the master password or pin, after…

I changed the settings to a different inactivity time and it now seems to save the master password, but it now NEVER times out. - To summarize, for inactivity time set to Never, there would be no more automatic logout for any inactivity interval. The described behavior is therefore correct. Thanks for the reply…

Thanks @Scott for the suggestion. One of the best features of Firefox is the ability to isolate tabs using Mult-Account containers. This can isolate websites to open only in separate containers so cookies and data are isolated. An example is that my banking Websites (and their cookies and data) are completely isolated from…

Well it seemed to work for a few days then went back to having to login every time I opened Firefox The question I do have is do all the instances of Password manager have to be set the same for it to function in this way? I guess another way to put it is the setting synced to all the devices or do I have to set them…

I have followed up with a discussion with @Alexandru_BD I am more than happy with the way Bitdefender has explained their position. It is so refreshing to have support that is really interested in support for their users. In fact I am impressed with the amount of effort @Alexandru_BD put into answering and explaining what…

Thank you @Alexandru_BD for the quick reply. That is exactly what I wanted to know. Sadly, these days the bigger companies do a lot of work on the wording of their privacy terms to ensure that they can effectively still invade our privacy to data mine us without seeming to do so. This has made me overly cynical of all…

I read the FAQs I understand what Bitdefender does regarding privacy My question was quite specific about Bitdefender Password Manager. I understand it encrypts passwords and account information. Does it also encrypt the website addresses that these accounts/passwords refer to? Example: URL https;//my.example.com -IS THIS…

I like many others was taken in by this blatantly false advertising. Saying you have made an error on the website is just absolute rubbish. Own your mistake. At the very least you could offer an upgrade an existing total security to premium even if it increases the subscription for subsequent years. It only has to apply to…

You didn't really think this advice through did you? So export the passwords as text. -fine Use libreoffice, excel etc to convert to CSV - fine but remember to delete all the text files, temp files after you get the passwords into bitdefender, or you can just leave them lying around in plain text. What is the actual format…
