Excellent, worked flawlessly this time! I'm not sure whether it's due to disabling Windows Defender or from using the offline install pack, but I'm up and running on BD2013AVP!

I'm currently running the uninstall tool to give these complete kits a go. I might also Bell1's suggestion a try with disabling Windows Defender. I've experienced that kind of problem with two AV's conflicting and crashing each other at work as well, and had thought about trying this but apparently never attempted. I'll…

Okay, looks like we can rule out SSD as the problem as well. The only thing that was similar in hardware at first was a Vertex4 SSD, then just generally an SSD, and now not even that and still having the same symptoms. The only thing I can think of is some sort of software incompatibility going on. Is it possible that it's…

Same Problem here. My Laptop was working fine with windows 7 and Bitdefender TS 2013. Since the Clean Upgrade to Windows 8 Pro I am unable to install Bitdefender TS 2013. It downloads the new version from net and then while in the final stages of installation it crashes. Windows cant even reboot and I had to go to recovery…

That is a coincidence on the Vertex4. Are we all running firmware 1.5? I highly doubt this is the problem, but might as well follow this connection.

I cannot install on Win8 Pro x64 English either. Yes, I'm using the latest installer, and it gets all the way through the scan, the download, and almost done with install (I see icons on my desktop before crashing). After crashing, Win8 attempts auto repair but is unsuccessful. I had this problem on Win8 release day and…

Excellent, thank you very much.

Just noticed one thing that couple potentially cause problems - it's "suppress", not "supress". It didn't seem to help me with the 64-bit edition, but don't know about the 32-bit one.

bitdefender_antivirus_2011_32b.exe /C:”setup.exe /qn REBOOT=supress” Do you know if this will not work with the 64-bit installer? I have tried and tried again to get it to install silently but not only does it prompt me to get an updated version, it also seems to not be a silent install. It prompts me with EULA and the…

Files sent.

I will as soon as I am home (currently at work).

Yeah, those files are 0 bytes, but deleting them doesn't really help. Upon the next reboot, the files are recreated. I just don't like them there if they serve no purpose. If BitDefender Antivirus does use them, that's fine, otherwise they shouldn't be created at all.
