OK, I just ran a manual update on both my desktop machines and it was successful, looks like a temporary fault. Ro. Yes, it is OK now, Thanks Rohugh

Updated my main computer this AM with the latest BDTS 2015 updates. After that, Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) stopped responding - No error message when it fails to respond, but upon shutdown, the following error message appears: "LogonUI.exe Application Error, 0x77305357 memory could not be referenced…

Hallo Georgia, maybe I do not have it that clear, but in addition to the automatic update I also just tried to manually update my Bitdefender Total Security and it is stick to version 18.19.0.1345. Do you mean the fixed .1435 you are talking about will be released soon? Thank you filippo What I think Georgia meant to write…

Thank you very much guys, ...so a complete UN-Install and a thorough one will be my choice! ...(thanks for the links Antikythera) Yes, I am aware of the Firewall issue, which in reality is not, because in fact, I have been using my Windows 7 FW instead of BD´s one with apparently the same results. Thanks again to both!!!

I also noticed that after the very latest build 18.17.0.1227 update, my Windows 7 x64 PC, added almost 30 seconds to the boot up time. I am using an SSD drive for my OS and the usual boot time for Windows used to be about 20 secs more or less, and after this build´s introduction, it went up all the way to almost 55 secs…

Definitely there is something wrong with BD, how could it be possible that there is such a large number of users suffering from almost an identical issue and not a single comment from the Bitdefender people? 14 Minutes for a Quick Scan??? ...so much for the Quick part of the scan

Me too, it hangs on winhttp.dll exactly at 89% and stays there for ever. Anyone?

Kindly explain! Your graphic shows that bdwtxag.exe (Bitdefender Wallet Agent) is still running! Georgia is exclusively referring to the "bdwtxapps.exe"!
-
Hello all, Thank you for your patience. Starting with the latest build 18.17.0.1227 bdwtxapps.exe should not run if Wallet was not configured or apps are disabled. Can you confirm this behavior on your end too? This is correct, "bdwtxapps.exe" disappeared from the process explorer as you stated!

In BD 2015, bdagent.exe now starts the Wallet processes automatically. Download Process Hacker (a replacement for Task Manager and much more powerful than Sysinternal's Process Explorer) from Sourceforge... http://processhacker.sourceforge.net/ You can then terminate the Wallet processes. Yes, but they will start all over…

I just installed on two Window 7 machines who had the previous 2014 IS installed. I simply launched the 2015 installer and immediately it offered to UN-Install automatically the previous version and so I did and the 2015 version installed flawlessly and everything is working fine with the new version on both machines. You…

...using almost 350Mb which for my desktop with 8Gb RAM is kind of "acceptable" BUT on my wife´s Laptop with Win 7 32Bit and only 3Gb RAM is way TOO much!!!
-
Thanks for your reply! I have sent my request over! You could save the extra money by keeping your Windows firewall running, it seems to do better than the one that comes with the IS/TS, just take a look at this test:

Detection was removed. Thanks to everyone for reporting it. Cris. Thanks to you Chris

Same problem here, it is definitely a FP, please fix it since spywareblaster is a very recognized and safe program with very good reputation.

Since I am behind a router and I also have been using SunBelt´s CounterSpy (one of the best for it´s intended task) for adware and spyware protection, I only use the Antivirus version of BD 08. I have yet to catch any nasty with this combo and if you need the extra protection of a great heuristics, The free version of…

If you say you don't visit harnful sites and you work in a safe environment, it is safe to chose the "scan only program files". Selecting this action will make BD Real time shield to scan only programs: .exe files, .dll files, .com files etc. This will make your computer work faster, but with slightly reduced security.…

I have installed BD AV 2008 and Acronis 9 and there are no problems whatsoever with Acronis working on the scheduled back ups.
