E-mail to which address? I keep running in circles on the support pages and sending a file on the support pages doesn't work...
-
It didn't work. I did everything you told but still can't do a scan.

Thanks, here's the link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/w5x46g

Same problem here but I can't apply the patch. I get an error message that the files can't be changed since access is denied. And yes, I did turn off UAC.
-
I still can't install FF. During installation BD comes up with the Trojan.Generic.1607990 again Last update was 10 minutes ago.
-
Thanks Cris! I was only having trouble with Firefox so perhaps C Broadhurst can tell you detection name of tlmi.dll

This topic is clearly about customer service and communications. Why do you feel the need to defend the product itself? That's got nothing to do with it.
-
Same problem here! And re-installing won't help because BD immediately removes the dll files again.

Florin, I was going to do what you suggested but when uninstalling Anti Virus and installing Internet Security again I noticed that during the install procedure Vista asked me permission to install BitDefender network drivers twice. I just clicked "No" and when the install had completed the firewall wasn't installed. So…

I had exactly the same problem (BD Internet Security) and it was solved after I re-installed. But yesterday I installed BD Anti Virus and again I couldn't open the program, even after several reboots. But today it suddenly worked again while I didn't change anything. Very strange :|

As far as I know the toolbar only works with Outlook (Express). I've never seen it in Windows Mail and now I'm using Windows Live Mail and it's not there either. It would be nice to have the toolbar in those programs as well.
-
Thanks! I will try that. I just remembered that I would lose the spam filter if I downgrade to AV 2009 so this would be a better solution. I really hope we get to choose which options to install with the next version again.

Thanks for the replies. Hammey, I bought a 3 year license 2 years ago and it automatically got upgraded to Internet Security 2009 so it seems I have to ask for a downgrade as Diana suggested I know how the BD firewall works but I'm getting very unstable network performance in Vista x64 when it's installed. I was copying…

Niels, thanks for your support. But please read your post again; do you really think it's normal we have to go through all these steps just to install a non-working program? I remember all the trouble I had when BD2008 had just arrived. Now BD2009 has been released and again there's all these problems. A security program…

Sure, uninstall failed, the uninstall and repair tool now says it's only valid for installed programs and it disappeared from the Windows Uninstall list. This is the last time I've ever renewed my license. I've never had so many trouble with multiple releases of 1 single program.

This happened to me as well. I know nothing about Vista(I have XP Pro), but what I did was to go to 'programmes' in 'my documents' and find the BD icon(shortcut) and send this to my desktop. This worked for me, hope it does for you too. Thanks, I've got it working now. But now it's replaced by an equally annoying problem;…

I also had the same problem again yesterday. But after updating today it seems to be fixed again.
-
It looks like they fixed the problem. Real time protection is working again and no more hangs right after booting
-
Many people are having the same problem. One of the latest updates has messed things up for a lot of us.
-
Nope, using a cleaner doesn't help. I used the Guru3D remover but it didn't help. And what's really weird is that the problem persisted when I did a system restore to a point prior to the nVidia installation. I'm also using an nVidia 680i SLI mainboard and Vista x64. The last time I rebooted I launched Task Manager to…

I didn't have this before but when I was installing new nVidia drivers tonight the problem suddenly occured. Took me 4 hours to figure out it was BD that was to blame!!! Did a system restore to a state before I'd installed the nVidia drivers but the problem was still there. Finally after uninstalling BD the problem was…

You can just type it in the "Start Search" bar as well. But anyway, for Vista x64 there is no bdo.dll file. There is a bdo.ini and bdoe.dll though.
-
Thanks for the help. Would that be the same command for Vista x64?

I don't have a toolbar at all. It's the same thing as with the upgrade from BD 9 to BD 10. It took them a few months to figure it out and now the same problem is here again...
