The harddrives are both IDE and SATA. The IDE is being set to slave. They both show up and i have access to them, but scans do not work, even on my original drive. Trying to right click the drive and doing a scan that way also does not work. An hourglass pops up beside my cursor for a split second but nothing happens.…

Oh one more thing to clarify, I don't mean it just can't scan that drive..... It Cannot scan at all, not in basic view not in advanced, not with deep, full or the "fix it" button nor can it do a manual scan via the start menu.
