I'm seeing the same issue with Forza Horizon 4. Did you ever get an answer to this? This post is from August and it's now April 2021 and still no fix. Thanks.

Is there a reason this is considered an improvement request and not a bug? Bitdefender essentially blocks access to XBox live services by stopping a necessary windows service required for XBox connectivity. It’s not a nice to have thing, it’s a matter of the product preventing access to an application that users depend on…

Just checking to see if there's an update - it's been almost 3 months. Thanks.

I have uninstalled Bitdefender also - have a few issues that are not resolved and if it takes months to fix simple issues (or in this case not fix the issues) then I don’t feel confident in this product.
-
Ideally it needs to be fixed for sure, I was just offering suggestions in the interim because the usual answer is it will take months to fix it. I'm also dissatisfied with it blocking legitimate applications and taking eons to fix it.

For local game streaming, did you try adding the IP of the NVIDIA shield to the online threat prevention exclusion? I don't have an NVIDIA Shield so this does not apply to me.
-
You’re welcome and glad that worked!

Sorry, I added the ip addresses to the online threat prevention exclusion section. I was able to leave Bitdefender enabled and did not have to modify the http proxy dll.

Using tcpview from sysinternals I was able to get mine working by adding the Geforce Now ips to the exception list. 8.38.204.101 8.38.204.102 8.38.204.103 Perhaps Bitdefender needs to whitelist.

Is there a timeline for when the fix will be made available? I'm still experiencing the same issue.

Tested the gaming and work profiles and they disable the IP Helper service when the profile is enabled and enable the IP Helper service when the profile is disabled. Can someone from Bitdefender escalate this issue to the dev team?

Saw this on one of my PCs and found these articles: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/ip-helper-wont-start-automatically-despite-being/f79f79d2-f8ce-4a0d-b327-50d69e2ecccb https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/social/troubleshoot-party-chat Starting IP Helper service seems to fix the issue.…

Issue is resolved for me after yesterday’s Bitdefender update.
