No that's not the case. BitDefender will keep you safe for sure. Security is not just simple signatures. Why are you so sure it has to be the way you suggest?

Why is it the worst? There is no perfect antivirus. And definately no perfect suite. At least BD is working hard on getting things on track.

It depends on your browse behaviour. Normally a full scan every week or two would be safe
