Did you use the uninstall from windows? If so, download the Bitdefender uninstall tool from Bitdefender.com and use that. Then reinstall. That worked for me. This program seem to remove all the bits and pieces that cause problems. Bill

Same problem here with Antivirus 2009. This just started happening the last couple of days. I cannot update with the latest download, without slowing the system to a crawl. Bill

There has to be problems with the latest updates. Last week the update corrupted some files. Through BD tech support though they asked for all sorts of files and such just like you, I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. That worked. I receieved and email the following day from tech support telling me to do just that.…
