Unfortunately FrEaZeR is correct, disabling AVC, IDS or On-access scanning does not provide a quick fix and the installer still jumps from 3% to 24% then crashes.

the only events I can see are with regards to it saying Real-time protection states chaging from enabled to disabled as I tested it working while on-access is disabled.

Hello and thankyou for your reply. With Active Virus Control Disabled and On-access scanning enabled the Intel SSD Optimizer still fails to run producing 'Error creating Intel SSD Optimizer files on the selected drive.' Only turning off 'On-access scanning' will let it run. Many thanks.

Further to this problem, I have just uninstalled BD 2012 TS and installed BD 2011 TS (using the current direct download link and updates at the time of this post) and installed WoW with no trouble at all, and nothing needed to be disabled.

Further info on this matter, I am running Windows 7 x64 and I have just rolled back to Bit Defender 2011 Total Security to see if the problem persists, and it does not.

Hello dan9812, Since when is this issue occurring? Hello, it was doing it around an hour ago or so. However, on reading your reply I relaunched the update to check if it was doing it again and it updated fine. (new patch/data available I guess?)
