I have now tried adding my Thunderbird profile to the Exceptions with just the "On-access scan" ticked and the impact was immediate after closing out of and going back into Thunderbird. Unread e-mails now open immediately and likewise when deleting or moving e-mails. I still have scan incoming / outgoing e-mails enabled.…
