I'm having this issue, too.I just uninstalled BD thru add remove programs as well as running the uninstall tool. Then, reinstalled and after discovering firefox pages being blocked I ran BD repair tool. So, I'm guessing we can just wait for an update to fix it? This is the only website I can access with BD enabled. I…

I'm having this issue as well. Windows action center reports that BD Firewall is off and I get blocked websites. As soon as I enable BD Firewall sites are no longer blocked. So, maybe firewall has to do with blocked sites issue???? thanks EDIT:Just wanted to inform that both issues are now resolved after running BD repair…

While upgrades from BitDefender GameSafe 2008 to Internet Security 2010 were possible with the same license key, this is not also valid for Internet Security 2011. You will be contacted shortly via email with a solution. I figured gamesafe 2008 qualified as BD 2008 product after reading this page…

Please disregard this thread. The issue seems to have resolved after I rebooted the system.
-
I think it was the other spyware program I had installed interfering with BD just like DannyDan said. Thanks for the input to everyone.I hope others can resolve the issue so easily, as well.

I was having a similar issue with BD and services (vsserv.exe) not responding at start-up even though the process is running. I uninstalled Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and ran BD repair tool. All seems fine now, hopefully it isn't a reoccurring issue. : P

I also have this issue after updating to BD 2010.Please halp!

i appreciate your time and attention to this matter, Carmen, however i've already received several emails from your Customer Service ... #1 was from you on the 26th after my post here, offering me a free continued license of software i can no longer trust; when i responded very politely, once again outlining everything…

RUN RUN as fast as you can. Any company that does something like this will surely make another mistake. Their is no justification for this big of a mistake it just reeks of bad management which cannot be solved and will continue. Even if I try to reinstall now it says my license key that I purchased a couple months ago is…

I'm settled everything seems back to normal ,finally after 2 days.I'm just trying to decide to reinstall BD or go a new direction. Thanks for all the help.At least BD is trying to fix things and will for some.

@L.o.D.: The patch for the 2008 version and the weekly update will soon be released. @enoch0o: In this case you could try to save the Quarantine folder on a USB device. Reinstall BitDefender and repair your system. Then you will be able to copy the Quarantine folder in the same location, restart the computer and restore…

I found the 2009patch here http://www.bitdefender.com/site/KnowledgeBase/consumer/#638 It seems to have restored my files even though there were errors during the install. Now I'm only left with non functioning BD update service. How to fix?Reinstall BD.Or should I run away as fast as possible?
-
@enoch0o: A patch for the 2009 version was released a couple of hours ago as you can see on this announcement. For version 2008 a patch will soon be released (we will keep you posted with upcoming events in this section). Have you tried to manually restore the files from the BitDefender Quarantine? Could you also please…

I can't start BD Desktop Update Service in order to update the new patch. It says bad request or something.Any help?
-
Wow, I can't believe there's been no fix for GameSafe/2009/2008 users. BTW, how can the automatic update help if BD update service is broken? We need a patch.
-
nevermind, I'm just going to reformat and start from scratch. This is a waste of time.
-
When should us users of GameSafe/2009/2008 products expect a patch to restore our quarantined files? Maybe sometime today?A couople hours?Tomorrow?
-
Well, you're not too bright to be bragging about it in the forums, infidel.

-
@enoch0o: Would it be possible to provide us with the entire error message you are receiving? It should sound like this: Livesrv.exe - Entry Point Not Found - The procedure entry point XXXXXXXX could not be located in the dynamic link library YYYYYYY.dll and in this way we will be able to determine the .dll file which…
-
Now I get an livesrv.exe Entry point not found error Then the original error.
-
Ok, if you think it will work I'll try and report back. Thanks for the suggestion.

I found the link for GameSafe on this page http://www.bitdefender.com/site/view/Deskt...ts-Updates.html you need the 2009 edition. Still can't apply the quarantine patch because of the above error.Tried hitting retry with no luck. Also, BD is saying the Update Service is UNAVAILABLE.I'm guessing this is the bdsubwiz.exe…
-
Wow, so I'm not the only one. This patch is useless same problem no working solution as of yet.
-
I get an error when installing the patch. "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender Update Service\bdsubwiz.exe An error occurred while trying to create a file in the destination directory: Access is denied. Click retry, ignore or abort." I'm using BD GameSafe also, in another thread someone said to use the…
