In your post you suggest following the advice in Post #29 however, when I try to do step 1 [1: Save this file on your computer, extract it and run it], I get the following message: "Sorry, the file you requested is not available" As I can't get past step one, I can't do as you ask.

I'm also having this "the Scan Task Is Already Running" issue. I tried to follow you advice above but the file has been removed. Is there a fix today?

i'm having the same problem too. i tried the ports and exceptions and the ics thing............but nothing. has there been any fix for this yet? I upgraded to BD IS 2009 today and it's MUCH easier to set up. You just need to add your XBOX (and any other devices) to your Firewall Network Zones (see pic).

Although it's a pain, once done it's very stable…

I sent in a Tech Support request for this same problem. You'd think they would have a simple check-box type option for extenders or something like that.
