Please let us know if the issue still persists with the new build : 20.0.28.1478 Please note that the update requires a restart to be fully deployed. The problem is still there for me. It's been two months. I guess I just have to admit that Bitdefender's "block port scans" option will never work on my laptop.

Yep. There are 2 other forum entries on this site or the same issue. Lots of people are having trouble with the product. I've been in contact with support which has not been a pleasant experience.

I notified them about this issue in mid-March and have yet to have ANY helpful suggestions from their tech support. When people on this forum figured out that it was the "block port scans" option messing it up, they said I should just do that and that it wouldn't compromise my security. Total BS. Yep. It's abysmal. They broke it in mid to late March and have yet to repair it. I guess they're not going to. Which means this is the last time I will ever purchase a BD product.

Also having this problem. It started after I restarted computer to update Bitdefender on Monday. Any kind of high network traffic causes excessive CPU usage. Running Windows 10 Pro x64. I also have this problem. It all started at the same time everyone else in this thread is describing. Hopefully they get it sorted soon, because I need YouTube to work on my computer at least as well as it does on my 4 year old phone.

that's strange... I did the same test with firefox (39.0) and I cannot download any of the eicars test on my computer ( http://www.eicar.org/85-0-Download.html ).
