Well for win 7 to use home group correctly it needs a gateway and dns put on the eithernet card . I would remove anything u did in bitdefender assign a ip to each system with the dns and gateway and allow thise ip's in bitdefender and thats it. Hi i have bitdefender running on a few networks I do not use there network setup part of the program i give each pc on the netwrok a dif ip then in firewall rules give that ip access, then setup the other pc to share files and thats it. I have had no problems with setting it up that way.

I would ask your network admin but im sure he does not want you installing programs on his network. It is never good to run more than one antivirus at a time as they conflict.
