  • I do have a suggestion for you. If you where tech support and someone called you screaming and freaking out what would you do? Myself I would throw your papers to the bottom of the pile. Caps are yelling in here if you are polite and don’t get upset people are much more inclined to help you.
  • Hi someguy2009 do you format your pc before you install new software lol. Personally i see no need to format a pc to install a antivirus program.
  • Well there is no easy way. First you need to boot into safe mode then to go into computer management, services disable any bitdefender service from there reboot and it wont start.
  • Hi well a rootkit is a program that you download or someone puts on your computer to gain control over it. With a rootkit installed your pc can be used to transfer files to other pc's or to install anything they want on your pc for example a keylogger that would keep track of what you type maybe your bank pass. Once a…
  • I am sorry I don’t see it I bought bd internet security and had big problems from the start that’s with 2008 they said update to 2009 even worse problems. I was then asked to try bd 2010 I declined and gave up on it. I don’t need my money back and even if I was given a lifetime extension I would not use it like how many…
  • Hi if you right click my computer and choose mange on the left you see event viewer click the + sign and you will see windows logs next click on system and review it see what errors come up from the auto reboot. Most reboots are caused by bad ram you can also get memtest write a cd from the iso and boot from it to check…
  • Hi you have to boot into safe mode, disable bd in services anything thats bd in there reboot and bd will be shut down. next do your restore once thats all done you have to go back into services and enable all the bd stuff again and reboot. There is no easy way to shut it down.
  • Hi again it seems that the virus has damaged your system restore. You have not mentioned what version of windows you are running so I can’t give you a link but if you Google rebuild system restore it should help. Hope you get it working.
  • When you uncheck system restore and reboot doing so removes all restore points. You have to start fresh then and create a new restore point with the virus gone.
  • Well I better explain Alex and the rest of the people that help out here are great and do everything they can to help. It is not there program they are just trying to give some support. My comment was simply to state the problems I have had with the product and no I will not be trying 2010 as I don’t have the time to play…
  • Hi I would like to know when there will be a good working version of bitdefender. I started with 2008 first update it failed I was told to install 2009 to fix my problems this made things worse. • Hi Alex well I have tried those fixes on one pc I have that still runs bitdefender and it does not work. I do not think it is my job to find work around’s to make the program work. • I still say my solution would have fixed it and I thought the idea was to help people. I guess its not.
  • Hi well the bitdefender you download would be the newest release so I would make sure it worked before spending any money. That is what the trial is for to make sure it works and you are happy with it before you buy. Check and make sure you are useing the correct version for your windows 32 or 64 bit.Check also event…

  • Hello it has been another 2 weeks so I thought I would bring this up again. When are these problems going to be fixed? I paid for a working program and also I am not the type to give up when I have paid for something. Also since I can no longer use the program what happens to my subscription it still has 18 months left on…

  • Hi I wonder is there any word on fixes for the problems I have stated. I paid for bitdefender and sold it to others that also have these same problems. An answer would be nice. I have stopped using it myself, but I still have customers that have these problems. And need the errors fixed or something done for them. Myself I…
  • Ok once again in the sp2 install Microsoft says you are to disable your antivirus. As we don’t want a antivirus program scanning those files slowing down the install and possibly blocking them. So if these instructions where followed how did your files get quarantined. I did not update bitdefender only disabled it then…
  • Well I am sorry no I am not it was funny. You need to go over both antivirus programs and decide what you like, no one can tell you what you like best but you. There are trials of both give it a go unless this was just a post to advertise your other antivirus program
  • All the others kids will think your cool if you use BitDefender, they will pray to you as a god and bow at your feet. I hope this answer makes as much sence as your question does.
  • Yes well I had bitdefender internet security installed, I did not update it. I did as sp2 said turn off the antivirus and I unchecked all bitdefender from startup rebooted.
