Very interesting information. Thanks for passing it on, but even with a lot of study and effort utilizing information in your link, I do not think I can shave off the nine seconds that Bit Defender adds to my boot time. What it will do is improve your overall boot time and system performance, which is what most folks look…

I noticed that after removing bit defender 2012 to upgrade to 2014 my boot up time dropped from 30 seconds to 21 seconds. With 2014 installed, my boot time went back up to 30 seconds. Apparently, 30% of my total boot up time is bit defender. I too, am waiting for a fix. In the meantime, would it be advisable or possible to…

In the meantime, you might consider trying one of these solutions from the XMBC support forum (now called Kodi, BTW)... http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=1...boot#pid1133529

Its BS there's no way to disable Wallet. Why have something running eating up memory and slowing PC down when you don't need it. No, looking at safepay not safebox. I've never seen the Wallet process use any more memory than this on my systems (I have it turned off in the UI).. bdwtxag.exe, 3784, < 0.01, 14.05 MB,…

Now boot_s faster (using a stop watch app on my phone) in build 18.17.0.1227 on my systems.

In BD 2015, bdagent.exe now starts the Wallet processes automatically. Download Process Hacker (a replacement for Task Manager and much more powerful than Sysinternal's Process Explorer) from Sourceforge... http://processhacker.sourceforge.net/ You can then terminate the Wallet processes.

I am considering switching from Norton to Bitdefender, installed a trial version, and immediately noticed an additional 1 to 2 minute delay in start-up on a Win 7 machine. This issue just made my decision for me. Unless there is a reasonable explanation for the long black screen delay in boot time that can be justified by…

Resolved. Ran SFC /SCANNOW in an elevated command prompt window, and after that, the uninstaller and installer worked correctly.

Anyone from Bitdefender have any ideas?

I can't install this on Windows 7. The setup scan always hangs at 90% and the install never starts. I've tried both the downloader and the offline install, and both hang at 90%. The downloading middle bar has no problems and has the check mark. What should I do? I used to use Kaspersky eset nod32 if that matters, and I've…
