• I don't have the free one, I have the Antivirus 2008. It's getting ready to be uninstalled and getting rid of, since virus protection doesn't do me any good, if the computer is so slow, it's useless.

• btw, I tried to do what Niels suggested to the first writer, but when I open BD -> antivirus, I can't choose "shield" or however it went... I have the el cheapo basic version.

• I have the same problem. I have XP and installed BitDefender antivirus a while ago and went from a fast broadband back to dial up speeds. Can't even watch any videos anymore. Help, anyone?
