I'm not willing to give up for now. By any chance, do you know if there is a demo account or something like that? I looked on the website but I could not find anything that could help me at least to simulate the issue.

What I can suggest - I don't know if this is the case - there are certain browser extensions which might interfere; for example, if you are using Chrome to perform the feedback steps and you have uBlock Origin, this can lead to certain errors from time to time for various reasons. Can you retry one more time to perform the…

I clicked on Sign in, which led me to the page https://secure.pcfinancial.ca/en/login, but I see no authentication code, just Username and Password. Or is the code asked after successfully log in ? (In this case I cannot reproduce, not having an account on pcfinancial).

Can you let us know what address manifest this problem?
-
Maybe there is an involuntary space? I tried to type the email from the image and it worked just fine.

Ticket: If it is not too much trouble, it would be better. Question from FW guys: FTP (and maybe Smart TV, too): if you set Firewall to OFF (temporarily), does the problem still reproduce?
-
A question: do you have a support ticket opened on these issues? That would help a lot.
-
Thanks, will ask the guys about both.
-
Good point. Added on the printing improvements list.
-
Followup: is this about FTP, Smart TV streaming, or both?
-
AFAIK the colleagues did not manage to reproduce the issue yet. Let me ask them if there is any progress.

The high number of popups should be fixed in the pending update (release today or the next days). The other improvements (missing sometimes the application, dismiss of popup with keyboard) are in progress.

Not much to add here. Also, a significant component is based on the various hooks, interfaces etc. open to the operating system itself to various events (process creation, HTTP traffic, file access, devices announcement, wireless discovery etc.). If the number of such events is relatively low, resources allocated stays…

I think the support link is this:

Tomorrow I will look into it at once. Can you tell me what is the product version (not the one from Safepay, the one displayed from the regular desktop > tray icon > About) and what OS version you are running? You really might have hit a bug and I ddo want to fix it, if this is the case, or at least to understand it. Can…

It is started, but I don't know the timing. From what I asked informally more likely they will have a version in the next months, but that's all I know.
-
Asked the FW guys, they should reply shortly and we'll get back.

100% agree. At least the part of picking the page ranges/letter size/printer/header/footer and merging the Print… and Print to PDF… into a single command to eliminate the need (and the occasional confusion) for two print commands. I'm not sure yet about letting Print Preview yet, for this I have to do a full proof of…

Forwarded to the guys knowing more than me. Let's see if there is something known first.

Is there a particular software are you using? Something like Plex, Chromecast etc. ?
-
This is true, but although I was not involved in it, I think it was just an AV scanner. The "minor changes" part I'm not so sure about. I suppose we all have to wait for a decision to be made go/no go/later.

And as a side note: while developing on Windows involves 10 and 11 (with the dying x86 variant slowly replaced by arm64, so the vast majority being x64), Linux is an entirely different beast. Even the runtimes vary dramatically between the extremely conservative Debian to the rolling update distros; even the GUI part is…

This is outside of my pay grade, so to speak. While I would enjoy the challenge of developing a Linux product myself (albeit not being a Linux guy on day to day), I think a substantial number of possible users should gather for the company to develop such a product. Although there are Linux products AFAIK, they are for…

No. The feature is intended to use the Print to PDF… command, which in turn will use the "Microsoft Print to PDF" Windows feature's printer without the need of changing the default printer. So as in your setup, Epson can still remain the default printer for the regular printing and for Print… command in Safepay, while the…

I just updated one of my machines to 27.0.42.214 and So I cannot confirm at this time, the page seems to load correctly. Are there any other specific details perhaps? Operating system version, VPN connected to a certain country? Please be as detailed as possible to let us understand what happened, thank you.

I've set the things in motion and the team agrees it would be useful. I cannot say when it will be done, since it involves multiple teams to get it done, but as I said, the idea is started and an issue has been filed in our system.

@ludr15 Update: I just installed on a Windows 10 and printed successfully the 360-pages document (https://web.mit.edu/~simsong/www/ugh.pdf) using Safepay's Print to PDF feature (it produced a 123 MB PDF file). At this time I assume it seems to be a problem on Windows 11. Can you tell me what operating system are you…
-
@ludr15 I did not changed the printing implementation, so I assume for now either was a transient error condition of some kind - most likely involving the print spooler and/or Print to PDF feature - or you really hit a bug (which, if this is the case, I would like to reproduce it). Can you please describe more details…

About the 84% perceived stuck issue, or system slowing down?
-
Yes, they are. The settings are saved locally, and when uninstalling the product but marking I want to reinstall then the settings are saved and then, at reinstall time, are restored when first starting the services. The uninstall option for reinstall is crucial, if this is not specified, uninstallation will not save the…
