6 hours ago, Sergiu C. said: I am not seeing where he is saying he cannot eject them. He says: "Flash drives and hard drives flash away like christmas lights if I don't." That to me indicates that the issue is the one from this thread, which is that the drives are under constant use. Fair point.

Is this related? /index.php?/topic/79828-stop-notifications/" rel="">https://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?/topic/79828-stop-notifications/

12 minutes ago, Sergiu C. said: Hello Alex, The posts were split because there are 2 issues, of which only one (in the original thread) was fixed. The tags for each thread reflect this. I'm sure it would also be confusing if the other thread was tagged as fixed, but there were posts about the issue still occurring, because…

2 hours ago, coldlinks@mail.com said: I can confirm this issue is still very much present and a huge inconvenience. EVERYTIME I boot up my PC I have to go through the whole net stop/start winmgmt process. Flash drives and hard drives flash away like christmas lights if I don't. How have they not figured out how to fix this…

* Performance still suucks. * Nags saying my computer is unsafe when I turn things off still cannot be disabled. This is a serious NEW issue. * Still no IMAP support.

Oh and the other major problem is that we can't turn off nag notifications when disabling features like we could in the last version, meaning BD is always warning about security problems and saying it's insecure (if you turn off a feature). Brilliant simply brilliant. Hope that's sorted as well (not holding my breath).

19 minutes ago, komtur said: That's right. I understand that the problem can be (contrary to appearances) very complicated but it would be good if someone informed, even generally, what is happening... This is not the software we all use for entertainment. Apparently Bitdefender is working on it and it is important to…

** Can Bitdefender give us an official statement with timescales please ** I have at least a year of my licenses to go, the current turnaround time for fixing this issue has been too long so I need to be armed with the right information so I can make a decision to stick with BD or not. This is the least BD can do right…
-
Not only do we have this bug, but they've also force config alerts down my throat which I cannot disable .. previous versions for BD would allow me to disable antivirus features etc and also disable nags (alerts) telling me that I hadn't configured stuff the way they want it. I won't cross post this as it's off topic, you…

3 hours ago, Stefan I. said: Hi Alex, Currently there is no direct way to disable the security notifications in question as they are intended to make you aware of the fact that some of the core security modules are disabled, however we will be taking implementation for a advanced user mode such as this into consideration.…

Same issue with steps to repro here (includes a rather time consuming workaround and smoking gun). /index.php?/topic/79809-bug-external-hard-drives-wont-eject-with-bitdefender/&do=embed" style="height:220px;max-width:502px;"> (Wow this thread is a month old and not fixed!).

Thanks for the response. Have logged ticket 2018093021310002

Wow I can't believe there is still no IMAP support after all this time Thanks

Using latest Bitdefender 2019 (I'm using Total security build 23.0.10.31) and latest Windows 10. No other antivirus or malware packages (or anything likely to cause file locks). ISSUE: External hard drives won't eject with Bitdefender, tested with ESATA and USB. STEPS TO REPRO: a) Under Bitdefender 2019 goto Protection ->…

I have no idea why this software insists on posting emoji's sorry.

I agree. I created a new thread unaware of this one, check out my comments on this anyway: /index.php?/topic/77389-safe-files-is-next-to-useless-when-installing-anything/&do=embed" style="height:205px;max-width:502px;">

Hello I didn't see "safe files" anywhere in any forum description, so I assume I post here. So I have downloaded Win32DiskImager from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/files/latest/download and attempted to install it but I get this: https://imgur.com/a/z24JX And the app comes up with an error…

Looks as though I posted this before. I shall try trusted, if I don't post again please assume this was the solution.

Thank you! That was it.

Well I've tried to get this recognised as an issue for over a year now and now I totally give up and accept that nobody is prepared to test/admit this is an issue, or respond via support channels. So please just forget it then... and please don't forget to also tell me off again by mistaking my frustration for passive…

Is it possible please that others can confirm they are experiencing this issue in the 2017 version? (Please see my original post). I have another thread going on in the 2017 forums and I need a hand here from community members to confirm this is indeed still an issue and not just my system. Sadly whatever…

Well I didn't get a response for previous post, and I did write to response and didn't get a response from support again (what I did over a year ago)... With the Thunderbird issue I really do hope you can understand my frustration now, as I feel I'm ultimately being ignored, I can't see why this can't see why nobody can…

It's not related to the "[Sent2Devel] WMI Provider Host causing CPU usage" thread here is it? I won't cross post.

Is it possible I can get an update on the Thunderbird and SSL issue (2a + 2b)? As shown on my link it is a well known issue. I recommended a friend Bitdefender a few months ago and the toolbar actually corrupted his inbox (just like me), and I felt some sort of responsibility for doing this to be honest. Sorry to ask again…

I would add not only does this process get quite a few hard page faults, but so does.. seccenter.exe (main interface). bdwtxag.exe (Bitdefender wallet agent). I also note there is no way to prevent bdwtxag.exe from running (after you turn off the wallet agent).

Bumping. Thanks.
