Problems with new VPN-app and Whatsapp

Since I started using the new VPN app from Bitdefender, WhatsApp desktop no longer works. I used split tunneling for this problem in the past. This works no longer because I cannot find the .exe from whatsapp (hidden in c:\program files\windowsapps which is blocked by microsoft).

Now I have to disconnect VPN to use WhatsApp desktop.

Anyone have a solution?

    Try to disable ad blocker and antitracker one by one, if you are using them. Then try other protocols as well. To switch between protocols, open the VPN app and go to Settings → Advanced → Protocols and try all of them.
    And if possible, tell us if this behavior occurs on any server or just on Auto.
    It looks like the kind of situation that needs to go through Bitdefender Support for a more in-depth investigation. In the event the above steps don't fix this behavior, I would recommend to contact the Support teams using one of the contact channels available at the link below:

    State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them.
