Request for New Feature: Scam Detection Flag

In light of the growing threat of online scams, I believe it's crucial that we enhance our defenses against fraudulent activities. I'd like to propose a new feature that could be a game-changer in protecting consumers: a scam detection flag.

The Feature

I suggest implementing a visible flag or indicator that would appear when the system detects potential scam content in:

1. Email messages
2. Instant messages
3. Social media posts
4. Website content
5. SMS texts
6. Voice calls (through transcription analysis)

This flag would serve as an immediate visual warning to users, prompting them to exercise extra caution before interacting with the flagged content.

Why It's Important

With the rise of AI tools, scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their approaches. This makes it more challenging for the average user to distinguish between legitimate and fraudulent communications. A scam detection flag would:

1. Provide an additional layer of protection for users
2. Increase awareness about potential threats

I am aware of Scamio but I would want something more integrated that checks messages in real-time since a lot of users are not very technically capable and would never even think of it being a scam.

As far as I know, machine learning may not be implemented because Bitdefender's product already has a behavior blocker integrated (Advanced Threat Defense for Windows and App Anomaly Detection for Android). Regarding malicious links, Bitdefender products already include phishing and malware protection

From my discussions with Bitdefender product developers, Scamio is sufficient for them as it is AI-based, and they prefer not to complicate things. Regarding machine learning, Bitdefender already has an engine on VirusTotal.com called Bitdefender Theta, which uses machine learning for malware detection. However, implementing it in the Bitdefender product might lead to numerous false positives, requiring the malware research team to handle many reports, which is not feasible.
