    i ve read the provided link b4 contacting here, bitdefender is lacking on proper helpline for a long time, as it's chat helpline representatives do not ve much product knowledge even about the simple questions, they are used to transfer the quires to the email helpline which replies in weeks. anyway thx a lot.

    Judging by the error code received and its description, it may have been a temporary connectivity issue that is now solved. Do you encounter these errors frequently? Bitdefender updates as soon as it manages to successfully download the update files. Right click on the Bitdefender icon in the System Tray and select 'Update Now'. Wait until the process is completed and let us know if it went through successfully this time.

    If no network connectivity issues are found, there are a few more things to check, such as how exactly is the computer connected to the Internet (VPN, proxy, etc) and if there are any third party firewalls installed on the device that could prevent the updates from happening as they should.

    In regard to Bitdefender Support, the assistance teams are split into several levels and the inquiries are addressed according to their nature, priority and complexity, thus it may be necessary for the 1st level of Support to escalate some cases to the 2nd tier and that's where the communication is done via email only, and it may take the teams between 24 to 48h to respond. In some cases, remote intervention can also be carried out, again, depending on the type of request and the complexity of the troubleshooting steps required to resolve it.

    i was clearing the dns cache frequently and was updating while vpn was connected.
