Is Bitdefender too 'teckky' for me?

I am just the average person who is fairly adept at managing basic internet issues, and unfortunately I subscribed to Bitdefender. Is there a simple way to just make this antivirus work efficiently but not block something every second? I am trying to work from home and it keeps cutting out my connections to my VPN to work and my attempts to update CVs online on https://ccv-cvc.ca/loginresearcher-eng.frm. I am not trying to connect to risky websites! I think the fix for me is to dump this product because I don't have the time nor the interest to learn how to 'train' this dog to bark in my language. If there is anyone out there who can tell me how to turn off everything except the basics I'm all ears, but I'm not sure I am going to last until the end of the workday today to dump this moster. Wow - and I paid money for this!!! Many thanks!!

    Hi @123_Frustrated

" I am trying to work from home and it keeps cutting out my connections to my VPN to work"

Try adding your work VPN to exceptions in the "Advanced Threat Defense".

Add the path of your VPN exe file by clicking on the file search icon to the right of the window and then make sure the "Advanced Threat Defense" switch is on (set to blue).

To prevent a website from being blocked by bitdefender you can add a website to the exceptions list in the "Online Threat Prevention".

Click on the exceptions button to add a website or you can turn the "Online Threat Prevention" off by clicking on the "Web attack prevention" button and set it to gray.

Make sure the "Online Threat Prevention" is turned on (set to blue) when adding a website to the exceptions list.
