As said, the plug-in on my my browser show invalid 2FA codes while the app on my phone provides correct ones, and they are different codes of the same account at the same time. Why is that happening?

    Hello,

I think this can happen due to several reasons. First, it could be a time synchronization issue. If the time on your browser’s system or the plug-in itself is out of sync, the generated codes will be incorrect. Check if the browser plug-in has its own time settings and ensure they are accurate. There could also be a desynchronization of 2FA setup, and you could try to remove the 2FA account from the browser plug-in as a first troubleshooting step.
Also, an outdated or buggy browser plug-in may cause incorrect code generation. Make sure to update the browser plug-in to the latest version. There could also be an incorrect configuration or a mismatched account setup in the plug-in, or some browsers or extensions may interfere with the plug-in functionality. Here you could test the plug-in in a different browser or in incognito mode, to rule out conflicts with other extensions.
As you can see, there can be numerous reasons behind this, so the best way to find out for sure what's causing this behavior would be to get in touch with Bitdefender Support for assistance. In the meantime, if the issue persists, the phone app should be your primary method for 2FA codes, as it is providing correct ones.
